Smile for the camera…

This past weekend I had the opportunity to get some headshots done for my blog by the very talented Laura Beekmann from Life Art Photographs and author of the blog Like a Mutha (if you haven’t checked out her blog, you need too!). As I mentioned in my previous blog Laura will be taking the photos for our wedding so it seemed only natural that when I wanted to create my own personal brand for my blog I would turn to her to help me with that. Laura’s creativity and attention to detail made my vision come to life. I wanted to convey the business side of me, the fiancé part and the everyday “Tara” part. Laura helped me create that with each photo she took. I had so much fun getting to be a model for the day and get my makeup done by the talented Chelsea Sawyer and my hair done by Mal Fowler from Estilo Salon and Spa.

I take a lot of pride in my blog and the creativity I am putting into it. From the logo that was created by Jeremy Winter, to the photos and to the pieces I have written,  I want it all to reflect who I really am and the “why” behind my blog. I want my passion for the things I love to be portrayed through my writing and through the photos I post. I want my blog to show you “This is Tara”.  Having this experience with Life Art Photographs gave me even more confidence and sparked my creativity into over drive. I can’t wait to write more posts sharing all my experiences with you.

I want to extend a BIG shout out to Laura and Life Art Photographs for all her hard work and for making this an experience I won’t forget. I can’t wait to collaborate even more with her and Like a Mutha for fun stories and more photo sessions. Check out some of my favorite photos from the shoot below. Cheers to 40!
